The Best CBD Products Aren’t About What’s Strongest—They’re About What’s Right for You
Walk into any CBD store today, browse online for a few minutes, or search “best CBD products” on Google, and you’ll quickly discover thousands of options claiming to be the best.
The strongest.
The purest.
The most potent.
The highest rated.
It’s enough to leave anyone wondering where to begin.
At Franny’s Farmacy, we believe the conversation starts in the wrong place.
The best CBD product isn’t necessarily the one with the highest milligram count or the trendiest packaging.
The best CBD product is the one that fits your lifestyle, your goals, and your wellness routine—while being made with transparency, quality ingredients, and respect for the plant.
For nearly a decade, we’ve dedicated ourselves to helping people navigate hemp wellness with confidence. From becoming one of North Carolina’s pioneering hemp farms to developing carefully crafted CBD products, our mission has remained the same:
Educate first. Sell second.
Because informed customers make empowered decisions.
Whether you’re completely new to CBD or looking to refine your daily routine, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know—from understanding how CBD works to choosing the right product for your needs.
Why Trust Franny’s Farmacy?
Long before CBD became a wellness trend, it was a personal mission for our founder, Franny Tacy.
After spending nearly 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Franny found herself questioning a healthcare system that often focused more on managing symptoms than supporting overall wellness. That experience inspired a new path—one rooted in agriculture, education, and the belief that nature still has much to teach us.
In 2017, she became North Carolina’s first legal female hemp farmer, helping pave the way for the state’s emerging hemp industry.
Today, Franny’s Farmacy remains proudly:
- 🌱 Woman-owned
- 🚜 Farm-founded
- 🧪 Third-party tested
- 🌿 Focused on full-spectrum hemp wellness
- 💚 Committed to education and transparency
Every product we create reflects those values.
🌿 Franny Says
“People often ask me what the best CBD product is. My answer is always the same: it’s the one you’ll use consistently. Wellness isn’t built in a day—it’s built through daily rituals that support your body over time.”
— Franny Tacy, Founder
What Is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of more than 100 naturally occurring compounds known as cannabinoids found in the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa).
Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating, meaning it does not produce the euphoric “high” commonly associated with cannabis.
Instead, CBD interacts with one of the body’s most fascinating biological networks:
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS).
Meet Your Endocannabinoid System
One of the most exciting discoveries in modern physiology wasn’t made hundreds of years ago.
It happened in the late 20th century.
Scientists discovered an extensive cell-signaling network present throughout the human body now known as the Endocannabinoid System, or ECS.
The ECS plays an important role in helping the body maintain homeostasis—its natural state of internal balance.
Researchers continue to study the ECS and its involvement in regulating a variety of normal physiological functions, including:
- Sleep and wake cycles
- Mood regulation
- Stress response
- Immune function
- Appetite
- Memory
- Temperature regulation
- Pain perception
- Inflammatory processes
Rather than targeting one specific organ, the ECS functions as a communication network connecting many different systems throughout the body.
CBD does not replace the body’s natural endocannabinoids. Instead, researchers believe it may influence how the ECS functions and how the body utilizes its own naturally produced signaling molecules. While research is ongoing, this interaction is one reason CBD has become an area of growing scientific interest.¹²
Why Full-Spectrum CBD Matters
One of the first choices you’ll encounter when shopping for CBD is the type of extract used.
At Franny’s Farmacy, many of our products are made with full-spectrum hemp extract.
But what does that actually mean?
A full-spectrum extract contains naturally occurring compounds found in the hemp plant, including:
- CBD
- Minor cannabinoids
- Terpenes
- Flavonoids
- Trace amounts of federally compliant THC (less than 0.3% by dry weight)
These compounds work together in what researchers often refer to as the entourage effect—the idea that multiple naturally occurring plant compounds may interact differently together than they do individually. While this concept continues to be studied, many consumers specifically seek out full-spectrum products because they want a hemp extract that preserves more of the plant’s original complexity.³
For those who prefer products without detectable THC, broad-spectrum and CBD isolate options are also available.

In the sections ahead, we’ll explore the benefits and considerations of gummies, tinctures, topicals, flower, honey, pet products, and more—so you can make an informed choice based on your individual goals.
