🌿 Career Day… But Make It Slightly Concerning
Let’s talk about childhood dreams for a minute.
You know the ones.
The “what do you want to be when you grow up?” conversations where everyone’s supposed to say something nice and predictable like:
👉 Teacher
👉 Doctor
👉 Lawyer
Yeah… that wasn’t me.
When I was about 8 years old, I had two very clear career paths in mind:
- Truck driver 🚛 (for the travel)
- Willie Nelson’s tour bus driver 🎶 (for the lifestyle)
And I said it with confidence.
No hesitation. No backup plan.
Just full commitment.
😂 The Adults Were… Concerned
Looking back, I can only imagine what my teachers were thinking.
Because let’s be honest…
That wasn’t exactly the answer they were expecting.
But here’s the thing:
Even back then, I wasn’t actually talking about a job.
I was talking about something deeper.
🌱 What I Really Meant
What I really wanted was:
👉 Freedom
👉 Adventure
👉 The ability to see the world
👉 A life that felt different
I didn’t have the language for it yet.
But I knew I didn’t want to stay in one lane.
I didn’t want to follow a path just because it was the “right” one.
I wanted something that felt real.
🎶 And Somehow… Willie Was Part of That Vision
There was something about Willie Nelson that represented all of that.
He didn’t fit into a box.
He didn’t follow expectations.
He created his own lane—and stayed in it.
And for a kid watching from the outside, that kind of energy sticks with you.
It gives you permission to think differently.
Even if you don’t realize it at the time.
🌿 Fast Forward… And It All Makes Sense
Now here’s where it gets interesting.
Because if you zoom out and look at it from today…
That 8-year-old version of me wasn’t that far off.
I didn’t become a truck driver.
And I didn’t end up driving Willie Nelson’s tour bus.
But I did build a life rooted in:
🌱 Freedom
🌱 Movement
🌱 Doing things differently
🌱 Following what felt true instead of what looked right
And that’s exactly what became Franny’s Farmacy.
🌱 Building Something Outside the Lines
When I started this journey, it didn’t look like a traditional path.
Leaving the pharmaceutical world.
Planting hemp in North Carolina when few others were doing it.
Building a business around plant-based wellness before it was widely accepted.
It definitely raised some eyebrows.
But that same instinct I had as a kid?
It was still there.
👉 “There’s another way to do this.”
And I followed it.
🌿 Not “Follow the Rules” Energy
Franny’s Farmacy wasn’t built from a place of:
👉 “This is what you’re supposed to do.”
It came from:
👉 “This is what feels right.”
That’s a very different kind of energy.
And it’s one that a lot of people relate to—even if they don’t always act on it.
💚 Why This Matters
Because somewhere along the way, a lot of people stop listening to that inner voice.
The one that says:
- Try something different
- Take the risk
- Follow what feels aligned
Instead, we get told to:
- be practical
- play it safe
- stick to the plan
But what if the plan was never yours to begin with?
🌿 The Connection to Cannabis & Wellness
This same mindset shows up in how people approach wellness too.
For years, plant-based solutions were:
- overlooked
- misunderstood
- pushed aside
And now?
People are coming back to them.
Trusting what feels natural.
Exploring alternatives.
Creating routines that actually work for them.
That’s not a trend.
That’s people reconnecting with something they always knew.
🌱 Freedom Looks Different for Everyone
For some people, freedom looks like:
- starting a business
- changing careers
- moving somewhere new
For others, it’s smaller—but just as important:
- finding a wellness routine that works
- taking time for themselves
- creating moments of calm in a busy life
It doesn’t have to be dramatic.
It just has to be yours.
🌿 What Franny’s Farmacy Represents
At its core, Franny’s Farmacy is about:
- giving people options
- creating space for exploration
- supporting individual wellness journeys
There’s no one “right” way to do it.
And that’s the point.
🔄 Looking Back at That 8-Year-Old
If I could go back and talk to that kid…
I’d probably just say:
👉 “You’re not wrong.”
Because sometimes the things that don’t make sense to everyone else…
