The food truck will make its maiden voyage to introduce the Pasta & Prana brand this weekend at the LOVE SHINE PLAY event as part of the downtown Asheville Yoga Festival from July 28-31, 2022. Following the festival, Franny’s Farmacy is now serving Pasta & Prana daily from 11am-2pm at 231 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801, across from McCormick Field. Soon to feature pop-ups with local renowned chefs, Franny’s Farmacy Pasta & Prana is now available for delivery and catering.
“With Pasta & Prana, we are expanding the awareness of hemp as a superfood. Our pastas are made in a traditional hand-crafted style. They’re super nutritious…and they just taste so darn good! Plus, at 23 grams of complete plant-based protein per serving, one package can feed a family,” said company founder Franny Tacy.
Franny’s Fettuccine
Fresh traditional fettuccine style pasta portioned into nests and frozen in 4-packs for a quick and easy nutritious meal. Gluten Free Hemp Gnocchi
Powered by hemp heart protein, providing all nine essential amino acids and a good source of vitamins and minerals including iron, magnesium, copper, and zinc. Ricotta and Romano cheeses and Franny’s Farm free-range eggs add all the richness and texture of traditional gnocchi. Cook just like any other pre-packaged gnocchi. Ingredients: Rice Flour, Ricotta Cheese, Hemp Heart Flour, Tapioca Starch, Pecorino Romano Cheese, Eggs, Salt.
As a mission-based brand, it’s important to Franny and Mike to give back to the community. As such, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Pasta & Prana products will benefit Leaf Global Arts, a nonprofit organization that connects cultures and creates community through music, arts education and experiences, to cultivate curiosity, preserve cultures and promote global understanding. “Also, through products, events, nonprofit support and education, our heartfelt mission is to raise awareness about hunger, where food is everywhere yet people go hungry every day,” said Pasta & Prana co-creator Mike Ptaszek.
All Pasta & Prana products are currently available for purchase at Franny’s Farmacy’s retail location in Asheville’s South Slope district at 231 Biltmore Ave, and will be available soon for local online ordering and delivery via Mother Earth Food in Asheville.
“Also, we are looking to collaborate with select restaurants and retailers as we expand distribution,” Franny said. “With Pasta & Prana, and all our food, CBD and other hemp products available through Franny’s Farmacy and Franny’s Farm, we are putting the farm back in food. Our goal is to highlight the hemp plant as a nutritious ingredient in everyday food and beverage options for health and wellness, so we can better feed and educate our community on nutrition and sustainability.”
