What is Delta 8?
Is D8 CBD, or THC?
Delta-8 is a cannabinoid and a form of THC found in very small quantities in the hemp plant. Through our process of isomerization, we convert CBD into Delta-8 THC, activating all of the possible benefits of Delta-8. These may benefit a variety of ailments.
Here at Franny’s Farmacy, all of our products are grown from hemp and are Farm Bill Compliant. This means that the amount of active Delta-9 THC is under 0.3% in all of our products.
Delta-9 THC is the cannabinoid that creates a ‘psychoactive’ feeling, but Delta-8 THC is more comparable to Delta-9’s younger cousin, and creates more of a background calming effect which comes on at a slower pace – a more ‘lofi’ experience.

How does Delta 8 work?
All animals, including us humans, have an endocannabinoid system. This cell signaling system plays a critical role by helping to regulate several functions in our bodies and by creating homeostasis.
The endocannabinoid system has two different types of receptors, CB1 and CB2, which cannabinoids such as Delta-8 can bind to. As our receptors break down the cannabinoids, we begin to feel and experience their effects.

What effects will I feel from Delta 8?
Delta-8 offers a much more mild and subtle psychoactive effect than Delta-9 THC and comes on a bit slower. The effects will also be calmer than regular THC, and may help with relaxation and having more content thoughts, but while still being able to move and function throughout your day.
If this is a new cannabinoid for you, we suggest starting slow with a small initial amount. Wait 24 hours and take note of your experience before dosing again.
Where can I buy Delta 8?
Delta 8 THC that is derived from hemp (like ours!) is legal at the federal level, and is either listed as illegal or not explicitly legal according to differing state laws. This product may have restrictions in some states. Federal laws allow this product to be sold, but you should know your local laws before purchasing.
As of 2/2022, Delta 8 THC products are NOT available in the following states:
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Michigan, North Dakota.
What Delta 8 products are available?
D8 THC can be found in many products and delivery methods, including smokeable flower, distillate cartridges, and gummies. At Franny’s Farmacy, we carry all of these varieties, and ship to all states where Delta-8 is legal.
In all cases, take a small initial amount as a test dose, and go slow before consuming more. 10mg of Delta-8 THC is a great place to start in order to feel the effects while going at a slow pace.
