The story of how Franny’s Farmacy began, has its roots right here in good old Nashville, Tennessee. I grew up with farming in my blood, see my dad was a cattle farmer, and mom was an executive banker.
Growing up, I always had the dam surest feeling that I would live on a farm one day. Little did I know the potency this vision carried and what it had in store for me. I got my degree in Forestry at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. During college, my friends and I moved out to a farm where we got to cultivate the land with gardens and animals, hosting a beautiful monthly “Full Moon Festival” and getting our hands dirty in agricultural crop research.
I continued on an educational path, completing a Graduate Degree in Education at TN State University. I was teaching for about four years then decided to move to Asheville, North Carolina, where I held a prosperous career in the pharmaceutical industry, managing a 10-million Dollar sales territory for over a decade. My frustration with the pharma industry and the infamous “un-healthcare system” was the catalyst that inspired me to return my attention back to the land.
My response demanded direction toward real change.
And so the seed was sown for Franny’s Farmacy to come to fruition. Our dream of a wholesome farming life had come knocking, and I was burning to make it a reality. So in 2012, my husband and I bought a beautiful piece of uncultivated land here in Leicester, North Carolina. Working together with family and friends, we built our family farm in the winter of 2012.
Fortunately, my agricultural roots and educational approach, professional career in sales & marketing joined with my partner’s construction & entrepreneurial expertise, equipped us for the magic that was happening. After three years of balancing two jobs and building our business up from scratch, the moment had finally arrived for the permanent transition from ‘pharma to farm,’ the vision had become a reality!
In 2017, I planted varieties of hemp for food and fiber, and unknowingly became the first female hemp farmer in North Carolina in over 75 years!
In 2018, I pivoted focus toward hemp varieties grown for cannabinoid production, and we opened our first Franny’s Farmacy Dispensary in downtown Asheville NC.
Franny’s farm now serves as an agritourism hub, where we welcome visitors from all over the world to stay over in one of our homely lodging options right here on the farm.
I am excited to share my hemp knowledge with the world. Recently I had the opportunity, on a Tedx talk, to address the obstacles I faced growing a crop that was federally illegal and how it’s turned into a positive change for “Women in Hemp,” hemp growers, artisans processors, and businesses with aligned “farmer-focused” values. Down here on our farm have celebrated some stunning farm weddings and love hosting activities that bring the local community together, like doing goat yoga! We have come quite a long way since the launch of the first original Franny’s Farmacy dispensary.
Our manufacturing business, Franny’s Manufacturing, has been in full swing since March 2019, and the Franny’s Manufacturing Facility has produced and mastered recipes and manufacturing systems for over 50 of Franny’s branded products. Our products are based on years of experience and knowledge, yielding a product that you can trust for you and your loved ones’ well-being, and it shows. Our products have become so popular that we’re now producing goods for other labels and brands!
Over the past year, Franny’s Manufacturing has seen significant amounts of growth; our white label and private label business are continuously expanding at a very wholesome pace. We’ve grown our business from being a local to a national player within the cannabis wellness space and have expanded our products to include a whole new diverse range of distinct goods. As our products have entered new markets and reached the hands of loyal customers, public interest and loyalty have thrived alongside us.
Since the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, we’ve seen CBD products explode in popularity and retail presence. According to the most recent projections from the Hemp & CBD Industry Factbook, a 133% increase in retail sales of CBD products in the United States from 2018, the most recent year with available data, is estimated to follow. It’s been determined to have surpassed the $1 billion benchmark in 2019.
Furthermore, the Hemp Industry Daily projects retail CBD sales will increase to $10.3 billion by 2024, a five-year compound annual growth rate of 54%.

There is a 10% Bonus for the StartEngine Shareholders.
Franny’s Manufacturing Inc offers an Owner’s Bonus, which is 10% additional bonus shares for all investments that are committed by investors that are eligible for the StartEngine Crowdfunding Inc. Meaning eligible StartEngine shareholders will receive a 10% bonus for any shares they purchase in this proposal. For example, if you buy 100 shares of Non-Voting Common Stock at $2 a share, you will receive 110 shares, meaning that you’ll own 110 shares for $200.
Currently, we don’t distribute any Fractional shares, and share bonuses are determined by rounding down to the nearest whole share.
